​Health Care Provider (Open):
Provide health care to camp's summer campers and staff, including the dispensing of prescription medications, first aid, and emergency response. The Health Care Provider ("Camp Nurse") assists during camp Check-In and Check-Out, communicating with parents, campers and staff. This person also manages the supply levels in the Health Lodge. This position is scheduled by the week in June, July and August. Willingness to stay at camp overnight (Sunday evening through Saturday morning) is preferred.

Kitchen Assistant (Open):
Help prepare meals and snacks for camp guests, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Kitchen Assistants usually work a 12-hour day, 7:00 am-7:00 pm, which includes 2-hour break midday. Scheduling is flexible, March through October.

Facilities Cleaning Crew (Open):
Provide daily routine cleaning detail of camp restrooms and common areas and other areas as assigned. The Facilities Cleaning Crew ensures bathroom products are stocked at all times and that facilities are routinely kept sanitary for our guests. These employees typically work 2-3 hours a day, although some days may require more time. Scheduling is flexible, March through October.

Camp Whitewood is hiring creative, responsible, and kid-oriented individuals for summer Day Camp and Resident Camp programs. Join the effort to give kids an excellent summer experience at camp. An outstanding summer experience awaits you as well, so apply today! 4-H Camp Whitewood is proud to have been providing an enriching and memorable camp experience for over 80 years. We welcome over 1,000 campers from all over northeastern Ohio to take part in our camping programs each year.

Staff Benefits:
Weekly Stipend: Dependent on Certifications and Experience ($400 base pay)
Free Room and Board - including meals during camp
7-12 week Commitment
Every Friday night off (after 9pm) through Sunday afternoon
(Weeks 6 & 7 will end Saturday morning)
Internship Credit Available
Valuable work experience

Qualifications:
At least 18 years old, or high school graduate
Availability May 27 - August 8 (Dates vary by position)
Previous experience working with youth preferred
Complete a background check (BCI & FBI for Day Camp Staff)
Current certification for these positions:
-
Lifeguard: Waterfront Lifeguarding and First Aid
-
Boating: Waterfront Lifeguarding/First Aid OR Canoe certification

Shooting Sports: Basic Archery Instructor, NRA (contact us for specifics)
